LIVING A GERM-FREE LIFE

According to World Health Organization report, it is estimated that more than 4,000,000 died in 2017 due to poor sanitation and even the consumption of water from unsafe resources. Although, the number may not seem too large, it is estimated to be increasing exponentially if nothing is done. Poor sanitation and hygiene are the main factors that act as the vehicles of germs towards an individual. These germs such as bacteria are the one responsible for such a big number of deaths.

Although, it’s almost impossible to live without contacting germs, staying relatively germ-free is easier than you may think. Just take a step and start practicing these simple tips shown  below.

Clean your phone: The mobile phone is the dirtiest thing you own. Research shows that a typical phone contains more than 10 times the number of bacteria that a toilet seat may contain because of the number of germs it accumulates being placed on dirty surfaces and being passed from hand to hand all day. And to think it’s that same phone you put in your mouth when you need to use the torch light!

Practice cleaning Your Handbags and Briefcases: The handbag is another germ accumulating item. Think of how we are quick to drop them on floors and random public areas. It’s this same bag you dump on the kitchen counter after a long day at work.

Wipe Your Keyboards: Computer keyboards are germ collection machines. If you look very closely at your keyboard, you can see dirt particles. Now imagine looking at all that through a microscope. It is better to wipe those particles using a sanitary wipe at least twice per day.

Wash Your Hands Regularly: Your hands and Dettol soap should be best friends morning, noon, and night. Think about it. We touch germ-full things all day in whatever activities we jump in. Medical journals advise that we should sanitize or wash our hands with antibacterial soap at least 5 times daily.

Bottom line

In a nutshell, it better for everyone to keep in mind that although we can’t live a free germ life, but we still have much chance to reduce their spread by just practicing simple daily routines such as washing hands, wiping our keyboards at least twice daily, cleaning our phones just to mention but a few.
